The hotel is located in downtown of Amsterdam. Walking distances to cafes, shops, supermarket & Rembrandt's place. The room was clean & tidy. Reception is helpful in giving direction. But other staff are not friendly. free breakfast from the hotel is quite good.

Don't be fooled by the cover photo of the hotel. It's actually on a busy street with modern buildings and no charm at all. But, that's not the worst of it. We read the reviews and looked forward to a nice uneventful stay. That did not happen. Coming straight from the airport from an overnight flight, we arrived to hear that our room wasn't ready. OK. So we asked to get the next available room. We sat around in the "lobby" for a few hours. then, my husband asked for a room, any room, since we needed some rest. A room was "found" on the ground level, in the very back of the hotel. The hotel is two buildings, back to back, with a sort of hallway in between. The floor is not level. The floor is also black. My husband missed the small step and went head first into the wall. Blood everywhere and a big cut on his head.. Next thing I know we are in an ambulance on our way to the hospital. Scary beyond belief! The hospital gave him an MRI and surgical glue and medical care that was kind. Thankfully he was not badly wounded. But a head wound is a head wound. Of course we got a bill from the hospital. When we returned to the hotel, many hours later, the staff at the front desk came knocking on our door with 2 bottles of water and some candy. We never filled out an accident report and who knows if they will fix that dangerous hallway. No one from management came to see us. The people at the front desk are totally clueless. If you go there WATCH YOUR STEP. Better yet, I suggest you find someplace else.

Stayed for 3 nights, situated in a quieter area of Amsterdam but within 15 minutes walk of Central Station and 20-30 minute walk to the centre,with plenty of shops and restaurants on route. Rooms had everything that you need with very comfortable beds , very clean.Reception staff very welcoming and helpful,we asked the staff to chill a bottle of Prosecco for us for a birthday celebration which was not an issue and when we returned to the hotel there was balloons,a card and chocolates on the bed which was very appreciated The continental breakfast selection was very good with lots of choice. Will definitely stay here again.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel, so we knew exactly what to expect. Thankfully we were not disappointed. We stayed for 3 nights in total. Yes the hotel is a 15 minute walk from the main Station or approximately a 5- 7 minute walk from Waterlooplein metro station and is in a quieter area but that didn’t bother us as we hadn’t come for the nightlife. The ladies on reception were very welcoming and friendly. At the time of booking, we had asked for the same room as last time but that wasn’t available. The receptionist apologised and said they had put us in the same room but on the next floor up, which we were more than happy about as this meant we would be at the back of the hotel and get a view over the canal. We did arrive before the check in time and the hotel happily stored our cases while we went to explore. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower was big and had shampoo and body wash provided. At night the hotel was quiet so it meant a good night’s sleep was had. The breakfast was continental - pancakes, croissants, bread, cheese, cold meat, yoghurt, fruit, doughnuts, cakes and boiled eggs. The only thing I was disappointed with is that they had ran out of breakfast tea on the last day. I asked the lady working in the restaurant and she said she couldn’t find any so they must have ran out. We had also run out in our room so I had to go without. After checkout, the receptionist again happily stored our cases safely so that we could have the final day in Amsterdam without lugging our cases with us. All in all we were not disappointed with our stay and it lived up to our expectations. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future (I’d just make sure I bring tea bags with me)

We stayed here for two nights before a River Cruise. I highly recommend this hotel. The room was very comfortable and quiet. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff, reception, breakfast staff, cleaners etc. Every member was so helpful, polite and would go that bit extra to help make your stay the best experience. The hotel is well situated and easy walking to a number of restaurants and tourist spots.
